The Swedish Tourist Association works with nature and cultural experiences in Sweden. At our mountain stations we do this mainly by offering accommodations and unique environments, great food and awesome experiences in the wonderful Swedish mountains. Besides accommodation and nature experiences our work centers around interacting with people. We believe that interacting with our guests creates memories, passes on knowledge and provides an unforgettable experience.

STF Kebnekaise Mountain Station is located two miles from the nearest road, at the foot of Sweden’s highest mountain. The station has a rich alpine traditional history and is full of places to discover. We have 210 beds, one fully licensed restaurant and a sport facility with both rentals and guides. Between 25-60 people work at the station, depending on the season. Our guests are many and we are passionate about creating amazing mountain experiences for each and every one of them.

As a restaurant manager you will be responsible for the restaurant, it’s employees and hosting the guest experience. You will be leading the team and creating work routines and structures to make sure the restaurant is always evolving. You have a natural talent for inspiring and motivating your co-workers. You place our guests as number one and strive towards better sales and profitability for the restaurant. You also need to have a keen interest in food and beverage. 

As a person you are:
Structured, flexible, responsible and like interacting with other people. You also have a passion for creating an extraordinary food experience for your guests.

We would like to see that you have some sort of education or training in tourism and/or economics, from a university, college or other higher education. You have a documented experience in similar jobs, preferably in managing positions. You need to be able to work independently but also see to the needs of the mountain station as a whole. As restaurant manager, you, the site manager and other facility managers will be a part of the Kebnekaise management team. The management team works with developing and optimising management of the whole mountain station. Previous experience of working with the cashier system Cesar is a bonus. We will be making our choice largely based on applicants’ personal suitability for the position.

Additional information about the job 
Wages as per Swedish Union Agreement. The position is seasonal where the winter season is March to April and summer is from June to September. Your employment will start as agreed in February which will consist of a lot of planning and preparations for the start of the winter season.

The position includes board and meals, which means you will be living at the mountain station during the periods when it is in operation. You will be living in staff living quarters, rent and meal charges will be deducted from your wages.
